SUMMARY:Keystone Hiking and Outdoor Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Registration is now open for KTA’s Keystone Hiking and Outdoor Weekend in October. The schedule is filled with events for all interests and abilities led by an all-star cast of naturalists\, guides\, authors\, land stewards\, and conservation advocates. \nI’m honored to be leading an overnight backpack event on the rugged Mason-Dixon with Coleen Dzik. We’ll hit all of the highlights: Otter Creek\, Urey Overlook\, Apollo Park\, Cuffs Run\, Eagle View\, Star Rock\, and Fishing Creek. \nI’ll also be hosting a nature writing workshop along with Brook Lenker\, author of two novels and former executive director of KTA. DESCRIPTION:Nature Writing Workshop | writers of all levels | 10:00 am-11:30 am | 1880 Park Drive\, Drumore\, PA 17518 \nJoin us at Susquehannock State Park for conversations about nature writing and a few fun writing activities to explore your inner Thoreau. Specific writing exercises will afford the chance to venture to nearby spots in the park of the participant’s choosing. Participants should bring: pen\, paper\, water\, and a snack. High winds or storms will cancel this workshop. This leisurely-paced program is based at the accessible Hawk Point Pavilion.
